1. What is Ruharoma all about?

We are a homemade, small business devoted to making natural and environment-friendly skincare products.

2. Are your products natural?

Yes, our products are handcrafted with natural, plant-based ingredients.

3. Do your products contain preservatives?

Most of our products don’t require preservatives as they are anhydrous (contain no water). Our body butter doesn’t contain any preservatives and are recommended to be used within 6 months. To prevent microbial growth in our sugar scrubs, we use Geogard ECT that meets ECOCERT standards (non-paraben, non-formaldehyde, non-isothiazolinone based system).

4. Are your products vegan?

All our products excluding Goat Milk, Cow Milk & Honey Soaps are vegan.

5. Are all products suitable for the whole family?

For babies or children, we only recommend our mildest soap, Goat Milk Oatmeal. Kindly do not use any of our other products on babies or children. We highly recommend customers conduct a patch test before using any of our products. Carefully study the ingredients list on the website and make informed decisions. If the skin is irritated, immediately discontinue use. Consult your physician for use during pregnancy.

6. Are your products safe for pregnancy/breastfeeding?

For pregnant and breastfeeding women, we strongly advise against using products that contain essential oils. Kindly go through our ingredients list to make informed decisions and consult your physician before use.

7. Are your products tested on animals?

NO! We are strictly cruelty-free. We do not test on animals.

8. Are your products eco-friendly?

Yes! We use either glass or aluminium containers for all our products. We encourage you to reuse these containers and jars for storage purposes. They can be cleaned and sanitised easily. Our soaps labels are made of handmade paper and packaged in cloth bags (which can also be used for storing coins, jewellery, etc) For shipping, we use corrugated brown cardboard sheets to protect/cushion the delicate glass jars/containers. No foams or bubble wraps, whatsoever.

9. Are your products organic?

No, we are not certified organic. Some of our products do contain organic ingredients but not all of our raw ingredients hold a certification as organic.

10. What is the shelf life of your products?

Ruharoma’s products are freshly made by us in small batches therefore it is vital to us that they remain in stock for as little time as possible. We want to ensure that all your orders reach you fresh and be enjoyed at their best! Recommended usage period: 

 - Cold Process Soaps: 1 year 

 - Cleansing Grains & Clay Masks: 6 months

 - Foaming Face Cleanser: 6 months 

 - Sugar Scrubs: 6 months 

 - Body Butter: 6 months 

 - Natural Deodorant: 4 months 

 - Body Oils & Face Oils: 6 months 

 - Cleansing Oil: 6 months

 - Hair Oil: 1 year

 - Face Mist: 4 months 

 - Face Toner: 6 months

 - Lip Balm: 4 months  

 - Bath Salt: 6 months

13. Do you do customised/specialised orders?

No. We are currently operating at minimal capacity as a small business and would require more hands to reach a point wherein we can take customised orders. Your interest is genuinely appreciated and we hope we grow this venture further to accommodate all our customers’ needs.
